The Independent Living Program of Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Family & Children Services presents the 2010 ILP Forum. This year’s forum will cover 4 topics and will be delivered in a rotating workshop format which will allow all participants to attend each of the workshops. There will also be speakers during opening, lunch, and closing sessions.
This year’s registration is FREE and we ask that organizations limit the number of attendees to two people per organization. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
The four sessions are:
1. Connecting Youth with Supporting Adults: This workshop will focus on working with youth to identify and develop strong and lasting connection that will help them successfully transition in adulthood with solid long lasting adult connections.
2. Ansell Casey Life Skills Assessment (ACLSA): Incorporating the Ansell Casey Life Skills Assessment results along with the youth’s input into an Individualized WTLP.
3. From Foster Care to Adulthood: Helping Your Youth Transition into the Real World: This workshop will focus on resources for youth that age out of care such as mental health, Voc Rehab, APS, and other community resources
4. ILP Resources for Youth: This workshop will focus on IDA program, Post- Secondary Funding, and Chaffee Medicaid.
